Greg’s connection to craftsmanship and farm life began early. He grew up on a small farm and continued working on a farm throughout his teenage years, developing a lasting appreciation for hard work, practical problem-solving and building things that serve a real purpose.
He earned a degree in cold-climate construction and worked as a woodworker throughout college. His career grew to include building and finishing high-end custom homes, managing complex projects and operating his own residential and commercial contracting business. These experiences gave him extensive knowledge of construction, architectural details, durable materials and the demands of building for harsh northern climates.
Today, Greg brings that lifetime of experience to Roost & Rafter, designing and building high-end custom chicken coops that combine beauty, protection and everyday functionality. Each coop is thoughtfully created around the homeowner, the property and the needs of the flock—from predator-resistant construction and Minnesota-ready weather protection to effortless cleaning and egg collection.
Greg believes a chicken coop shouldn’t look like an afterthought. It should feel like a natural extension of the home—beautifully designed, carefully built and made to last.
